Lucky for us, Joan and Kate crossed our path at just the right time. We had to clean out a parent’s house of 50 years filled with 70s furniture that was an hour’s drive for us. “We not only were moving from a house that we lived in for 11 years, we brought to our Weston house every possession we had accumulated over 30 years. With our children moving out, but still requiring financial support (darn it), we decided to downsize to a much smaller home. We hired Treasures Found to help us manage an estate sale. We thought about doing it ourselves and what a disaster that would have been. On the morning of the sale, there were hundreds of cars. Treasures Found knew that would happen and arranged for people to direct the parking and work with the local police in order for them to be supportive. The preparation before the sale took 6 weeks of Treasure Found digging through boxes, , kitchen drawers, the basement, etc., pulling everything out and determining how to display it, price it or even clean it up. They researched everything that might have value. Many items that would have been thrown out were rescued by them and sold for money.
